He is a proud alumnus of the University of Florida, where he earned his BA, and Concordia University Texas, where he completed his MBA. His academic journey didn’t stop there. He furthered his education at the American College of Financial Services, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions offering financial services education. There, he completed both the CFP® Certification Education Program and earned the designation of Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®).
Tedd’s career path is as diverse as it is impressive. He served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years, a period that instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and leadership that continues to guide his professional life.
Following his military service, he transitioned into the IT sector, where he spent over a decade leading teams, projects, and people. Today, Tedd specializes in assisting military veterans and retirees, IT professionals, and foster and adoptive families. His days are filled with the rewarding task of helping these individuals make sense of their finances. When he’s not working, Tedd serves as a deacon at The Austin Stone Community Church.
He cherishes his family life with his wife, Morgan, and their three children: Molly (17), Tim (15), and Charlie (13). The Shimp family enjoys a good Texas barbecue and cheering on the Florida Gators. Whether he’s assisting a client with their finances or spending quality time with his family, Tedd aims to make a positive impact.
