STEVE GOFFNER

Steve Goffner graduated from Lynbrook High School in June 1974 before pursuing his passion for accounting at Pace University. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Certified Public Accounting in May 1978, followed by a Master of Science degree from Long Island University in October 1982, specializing in Accounting.

Transitioning to a middle-management role as a Finance Coordinator in Member Firm Regulation at The New York Stock Exchange in June 1984, Steve expanded his horizons as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Long Island University and a Series 7 Registered Representative for Paine Webber (now UBS).

In February 1991, the economic recession led to Steve’s departure from the NYSE. Undeterred, he found a new calling as a High School Mathematics teacher for The Department of Education of the City of New York, serving until his retirement in 2015.

Post-retirement, Steve embarked on a teaching journey at St. John’s University, Brooklyn College, and Hunter College (CUNY), enriching young minds with his wealth of experience. Eager to return to the Financial Services sector, he obtained his Series 65 license as an Investment Advisor Representative in July 2023.
